GENESIS 2:4–8
As children, we used to walk to school on cold mornings, enjoying the sight of our breath turning into vapour and the steamy clouds we created, rejoicing in being alive.
The sight of our breath in the cold air prompted me to reflect on our Creator, who created Adam from the ground and gave him life. All things, including our breath, come from Him, and we inhale without even thinking about it.
Living with modern conveniences can lead us to forget our origins and God’s role in our lives. By remembering God as our Creator, we can cultivate a thankful attitude, ask for help, and acknowledge life’s gifts with humble hearts. This gratitude can inspire others to also give thanks to God.
🙏 God, our Creator, we thank you for giving us the breath of life.
