BOLD SERVICE: LEARNING FROM ST. BARTHOLOMEW’S MISSION

ACTS 1:1-14

At work, we sometimes hesitate, unsure if we are ready to take on new challenges. But real growth happens when we step forward, tackle tasks head-on, and trust that we can learn as we go. Waiting without action only holds us back.

St. Bartholomew, though often quiet in Scripture, is remembered in church history as a fearless missionary who travelled far, facing persecution and hardship. Tradition holds he was martyred in ancient Armenia—in a place now part of Dagestan, Russia. Acts 1:1-14 shows him ready and waiting for the Holy Spirit to empower his work after Jesus’ ascension.

Like Bartholomew, we are called to serve boldly, trusting God’s Spirit to guide and strengthen us in every task.

🙏 May the Lord help you overcome hesitation. Give you the courage of St. Bartholomew to serve boldly and faithfully, trusting His Spirit in all you do. Amen.
