MATTHEW 15:1–11, 16–20
At a village festival, a boy wore a spotless white agbada but behaved badly—disrespecting elders and pushing others. An elder murmured, “Clean cloth, dirty heart.”
Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for honouring traditions while ignoring God’s commands. Real defilement, He said, comes from within.
Outward appearance means little without a clean heart. Only Jesus can make us truly pure.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus cleanse and guard your heart always, so that you may please Him in all you do. Amen.
