MARK 10:42–52
Entrepreneurs are marketing celebrities as products, selling their personal time and attention. For example, a $15,000 meeting with Shakira or a $12,000 lunch with chef Michael Chiarello can be arranged.
Jesus was often regarded as a celebrity, but he was always available to all. During a private jockeying between his disciples, Jesus reminded them that those who wanted to be great must be servants, and those who wanted to be first must be slaves of all. (Mark 10:43–44).
Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. I pray that today we would be as kind and approachable as He was.
🙏As the divine Son and King of glory who gave His life for everyone, we revere You, Lord Jesus. Help us in showing others Your love today.
