AS A WITNESS…

ACTS 1:1-9

A motor collision was witnessed by a teenager. It was a terrible event. She spent the next few months as the only witness to the incident telling a series of lawyers and insurance adjustors what she had seen. She was not expected to explain the physics of the collision or the details of the medical trauma. She was only invited to speak about what she had seen.

We are supposed to be witnesses of what Christ has done in and for us as His followers. We do not have to be able to explain every theological subject matter or respond to every question in order to point people to Christ. All we have to do is to describe what we have seen in our own lives as a result of the Saviour’s death and resurrection. And we do not have to rely on ourselves to do that. When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, Jesus promised that we will receive power, and we will be witnesses to Him (Acts 1:8).

We can guide a wounded world to the redeeming Christ by relying on the Holy Spirit’s power. We can testify to the life-changing power of His presence in our lives with His assistance!

Our testimony bears witness to what God has accomplished for us.

🙏🏼Lord, open up doors for us to share your Word. Give us the boldness today to witness.
