GENESIS 13:1–18
In some cultures, elders or the highest-ranking individual enter a room first, while in others, younger individuals may be allowed to enter. However, it can be challenging to grant this privilege when it belongs to us.
Abram and Lot, with numerous flocks, herds, and tents, could not support themselves on land. To avoid conflict, he offered Lot his first choice of land, while Lot chose the fertile Jordan Valley, leaving him with less desirable land.
Abram, the elder, trusted God’s guidance and decided to separate from Lot. This decision led to severe consequences for Lot’s entire family.
As we make a variety of decisions today, we can rely on our Father to lead us in the correct direction. He has promised to look out for us.
