GALATIANS 5:16–25; JOHN 15:16
Our neighbour’s yard produces large grape bunches, and oranges dangle within our reach.
Our kind neighbours share their harvest with us for taking responsibility for nurturing their crops and allowing us to enjoy a portion of their harvest.
I am reminded of another harvest that God provides for me and the people He puts in my life by the produce from the trees on the opposite side of our fence. The fruit of the Spirit is that harvest.
Christ-followers benefit from living by the Holy Spirit, which increases their expression of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. By surrendering to Jesus, they no longer have to be controlled by self-centred inclinations and can love their neighbours.
🙏 Lord, please cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our lives so our neighbours can enjoy them.
