GENESIS 4:1–2
When my neighbour planted a tiny apple seed with her daughter, she said, “Let us see what God helps us grow.” Years later, that small seed became a flourishing tree—an unexpected legacy. Eve felt something similar when she held Cain and declared that by the help of the Lord she had brought forth a man.
Genesis 4:1–2 shows Eve’s deep dependence on God in the very first birth. Her words echo the promise that through her offspring God would one day bring the ultimate Rescuer, Jesus. Her legacy began not with certainty, but with reliance on God’s strength.
Today, our contributions—creative work, mentoring, integrity, or quiet faithfulness—also grow best with God’s help. What legacy might He grow through you?
