2 CHRONICLES 7:1–10; PSALM 100:1
Joyce loves John Philip Sousa’s “The March King,” even as a twenty-month-old. She enjoys humming the tune with claps. Her family often dances or parades in circle to the beat. They always get quite lightheaded and giggle a lot in the end.
Their joyful noise reminds us of the psalm that encourages us to worship the Lord with gladness. The Israelites celebrated King Solomon’s temple with praises, possibly singing Psalm 100. The psalm encourages us to shout for joy, enter the Lord’s gates with thanksgiving, and praise his name, as his love endures forever.
We are loved by our loving God! Let us shout for joy to the Lord in thankfulness! (Psalm 100:1).
🙏 Lord, fill our hearts with gratitude so we can give you thanks for all your excellent deeds. Your love never dwindles!
