GENESIS 5:1–17
A teacher once discovered that her former pupil had become a community leader because of the encouragement and prayers she offered years earlier. Small acts of faithfulness often produce lasting influence far beyond what we see.
Genesis 5:1–17 traces the family line from Adam onward. Though the passage lists names and years, it also shows God’s continuing purpose through generations. Despite the effects of sin and mortality, God preserved a people who carried His image and His promises.
Believers today must guard the faith entrusted to them. Our words, conduct and devotion can inspire others to follow God. The legacy we leave should point people towards Christ and strengthen future generations.
