JOHN 17:11–19
A young soldier was anxious before his first mission until his commander said, “I have prepared for every challenge you may face.” Those words gave him the courage to move forward with confidence. In a far greater way, Jesus prepared His disciples for life without His physical presence by praying for them before He went to the cross.
In John 17:11–19, Jesus asked the Father to protect His followers, keep them united and sanctify them through His truth. Though they would remain in a hostile world, they would never be without God’s presence and care.
The same assurance belongs to every believer today. Whatever trials confront you, remember that Christ has already interceded for you. Live boldly, remain faithful to His Word and trust Him to keep you through every storm.
