JESUS STILL SHOWS UP

LUKE 24:28–35

In some African villages, evenings are for gathering by the fire to share roasted maize or yams and stories. It is not just about food—it is about presence, connection, and peace. Jesus often did the same. After His resurrection, He joined two disciples on the road, and they did not recognise Him—until He broke bread at supper.

Like sitting by the fire with trusted companions or family members, Jesus made space for rest, warmth, and revelation. At that simple meal, their eyes were opened—they saw the risen Lord.

In a world that urges constant striving, Jesus invites us to slow down, eat, and know Him.

Each time we open the Bible to feed on God’s Word, Jesus still reveals Himself. May we recognise the Bread of Life in our midst.

🙏 May the Lord Jesus grant you the grace to feed on His word and be equipped each day. Amen.
