Jane thanked me with tears in her eyes for the church’s prayers for her brother facing cancer, which encouraged their family.
Praying for someone is one of the greatest ways to show them how much you care. Jesus is our ultimate example in this. The New Testament tells us about Jesus praying for others and that He continues to come to the Father on our behalf. He is at God’s right hand, interceding on our behalf, according to Romans 8:34. The risen and ascended Lord Jesus Christ continues to show His concern for us by praying for us, even after demonstrating such unselfish love on the cross.
People around us need us to follow Jesus’s example and love them with our prayers, asking for God’s help in their lives. God will help us pray for them. May our loving Lord strengthen us to generously pray for others today.
🙏 Lord Jesus, I acknowledge the different life experiences each person faces today. I pray for those achieving success, stability, growth, good health, and joy, as well as for those in despair, facing frustration, anxiety, indifference, health issues, and grief. May Your hand of blessing, restoration, and healing rest on them.
