THE TREASURE IN TOMB 7

PSALM 119:161–168

In 1932, Mexican archaeologist Alfonso Caso discovered Tomb 7 in Monte Alban, Oaxaca, containing over four hundred artefacts, a major discovery in Mexican archaeology.

The wise men travelled far not only to pay homage but also to bring gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:1–11). They also discovered the greatest treasure—Jesus Christ.

The psalmist described a treasure more valuable than gold or rock crystal, expressing joy in the promise of finding great spoil (Psalm 119:162).

It is important that we seek the treasure that will enrich us—Jesus and His word.

🙏Lord Jesus, may we value You and the Scriptures. Help us enjoy Your Word every day.
