1 THESSALONIANS 3:1–6
While imprisoned in 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. wrote his famous Letter from Birmingham Jail. Though confined, his words encouraged countless people to persevere in the pursuit of justice. Timely encouragement can strengthen others even from a distance.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:1–6, Paul, unable to visit the Thessalonian believers, sent Timothy to encourage and establish them in their faith. Timothy returned with the joyful report that they remained steadfast in Christ despite persecution.
Never underestimate the power of encouraging words. A visit, message, prayer or act of kindness can strengthen a weary believer and help them remain faithful to Christ through life’s trials.
🙏May the Lord strengthen your faith, uphold you with grace, and make you steadfast in Christ always.
