PSALM 91
Most of the people we admire are quite busy and may not have our time. Thankfully, we know that God responds to us.
According to an ancient story, a monarch paid weavers to manufacture tapestries and clothing for him. He instructed them to seek his assistance immediately if they encountered any difficulties. One young weaver was happy and successful, whereas the others were constantly in difficulties. When other weavers asked him why he was so successful, the youngster said, “Did you not notice how often I called for the king?” “Yes, but he is very busy, and we thought you were wrong to bother him so frequently,” they said. “I just took him at his word, and he was always happy to help me!” he replied.
Our God is like that king, with the exception of being far greater. He is compassionate and caring enough to be concerned about our slightest worries and whispers.
