2 TIMOTHY 3:10-17
Jane reads a great deal. She is engrossed in a book while others are watching television or playing video games.
Her zeal is mostly the result of her early years. Her family frequently went to see an uncle who had a bookshop. Uncle Fred would read to her while she sat on his lap, introducing her to the joys and delights of books.
Timothy, a young man, was guided along the path of learning centuries ago. Paul acknowledged that Timothy’s mother and grandmother were the ones who initially introduced him to the Bible (2 Timothy 1:5). Paul then urged Timothy to stay on the Christian path because he was familiar with the Holy Scriptures from an early age (2 Timothy 3:14–15).
For the believer, gaining knowledge about spiritual life should always be enjoyable and beneficial to our development. While reading and studying can play a significant role in this, we also need the support and guidance of others.
Who has encouraged you to deepen your faith? And who else can you assist in turn? That is a wonderful approach to deepening our understanding of God and building our relationship with Him.
Reading the Bible is meant not to inform but to transform.
🙏🏻Thank You Lord for those who have inspired us to learn about You. Help us to keep learning.
