ROMANS 8:28-30
When bad things happen, many people prefer to quote Romans 8:28. But in tough circumstances, it is indeed usually difficult to believe that. A man who had just lost his third son in a row asked, “How can this tragedy work for my good?” as we sat together. I was at a loss for words and could only sit with him in silence. A few months later, he expressed gratitude by saying, “My grief is moving me nearer to God.”
Romans 8:28 may be difficult to comprehend, but innumerable testimonies support its veracity.
When tragedy strikes, it can be difficult to see any beneficial results, and we might not always acknowledge them in this life. But God is good and is always by our sides.
🙏🏻 God, help us see your goodness.
