EPHESIANS 1:3-14
There are some things that money cannot buy, though not very many these days. A prison cell upgrade, a political office, contact information in a company, a physical address, or a mobile number can all be purchased. Almost everything seems to be for sale.
However, there is one thing that money cannot buy: redemption, or release from the grip of sin.
The costly price of freeing us from sin was paid by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Because He was the only perfect Son of God, He alone was able to pay that price. Such undeserved yet priceless generosity naturally elicits gratitude from our hearts and a dedication to the God who purchased us through Jesus (Ephesians 1:13–14).
Praise be to our benevolent God, who has come to free us!
