WALKING DIFFERENTLY

GENESIS 5:18–32

In 1955, missionary Jim Elliot and four companions travelled to Ecuador to reach the violent Huaorani tribe with the gospel. Though warned of danger, they continued in faith. In 1956, the men were killed during the mission, yet Elliot’s unwavering devotion inspired many believers worldwide. Like him, Enoch chose to walk with God despite living in a corrupt generation. While others simply lived and died, Enoch lived differently and pleased God through faith and obedience.

Genesis 5:18–32 traces the family line from Jared to Noah, but Enoch stands out. Scripture says he walked with God and did not experience death because God took him. His life reflected deep fellowship, righteousness and unwavering trust in God.

Believers today are called to stand out by pursuing daily communion with God. A consistent prayer life, obedience and faithfulness draw us closer to Him and leave a lasting testimony before others.

🙏May God strengthen your faith and keep you walking closely with Him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
