VERY IMPORTANT PERSONS

ROMANS 16

Thomas Woodrow Wilson was an American politician and academic who served as the 28th president of the United States from 1913 to 1921.

Wilson led his country into World War I and became the creator and leading advocate of the League of Nations, for which he was awarded the 1919 Nobel Prize for Peace. During his second term the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, giving women the right to vote, was passed and ratified.

He was recognized as one of the most powerful leaders on earth. But few knew that after a devastating stroke in 1919, it was his wife, Edith Wilson, who managed nearly all of his affairs, deciding which issues should be brought to his attention. In fact, some modern historians believe that for a short while, she was the one who served as the president of the United States.
