‎THE STUDENT’S EXAM RESULTS

‎JEREMIAH 9:23–24

‎Imagine a student who constantly highlights his fantastic exam results or academic awards, yet rarely thanks the teachers who gave up their personal time for extra tutoring, or the parents who paid for his books and reduced his workload at home. Boasting in the wisdom, strength, or riches (Jeremiah 9:23) of one’s own intellect or resources is like the student only praising his clever brain while ignoring the essential support system.

‎Jeremiah 9:23–24 instructs that our only legitimate cause for pride is in knowing and understanding the Lord—specifically, His enduring love, justice, and righteousness. Just as a student’s true success is rooted in the opportunities and support they received, our true spiritual wealth is found in relationship with the constant, faithful Father.

‎When you excel in a tough assignment or secure a competitive position, where do you place the credit? Instead of attributing success purely to personal brilliance, Jeremiah encourages us to boast in the God who provided the mental capacity, the strength to work, and the circumstances for excelling. This recognition prevents pride and fosters humble thankfulness.

🙏 May the Lord help you to always boast in His great love and justice. Amen.
