1 TIMOTHY 6:6-10
A child once saw a shiny coin glinting inside a narrow drain. Reaching for it, his hand got stuck, and he could not pull free until he finally let go. The moment he released the coin, he was free.
Paul warned Timothy that the desire for riches can trap people in many foolish and harmful desires (1 Timothy 6:9). True gain, he said, comes not from wealth but from godliness joined with contentment.
Today, the world still tempts us to chase what glitters. But peace comes only when we loosen our grip on possessions and hold tightly to God’s love and provision.
