THE POWER OF PERSISTENT PRAYER

LUKE 11:1-13

A farmer once kept watering a dry field when others had given up. Months later, his persistence was rewarded by a rich harvest. Likewise, persistent prayer keeps faith alive when answers seem delayed. God honours those who continue seeking Him.

In Luke 11:1-13, Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray and illustrates persistence through a man who asked his friend for bread at midnight. Though the friend initially refuses, he eventually responds because of the man’s persistence. Jesus therefore urges us to ask, seek and knock, assuring us of the Father’s goodness.

Do not abandon prayer because the answer seems slow. Bring your needs to God in faith, submit to His will, and keep trusting His wisdom. Persistent prayer strengthens our relationship with God and helps us remain hopeful.

🙏May the Lord strengthen your faith, honour your persistent prayers, and fill your heart with His peace. Amen.
