LUKE 19:11–27
A skilled footballer who remains on the bench cannot help his team win. His abilities become valuable when he uses them on the pitch. Likewise, God expects us to use our gifts, time and opportunities faithfully in His service.
In Luke 19:11–27, Jesus told a parable about a nobleman who entrusted money to his servants before travelling. On his return, he examined how each servant had managed what was entrusted to him and rewarded them accordingly.
God has entrusted each of us with resources and abilities. We must use them wisely to serve Him and bless others, remembering that we shall give an account of our stewardship. Let us remain faithful until Christ returns.
