LEVITICUS 18
A child once refused to hold his father’s hand while crossing a busy road, thinking he knew better. Within moments, fear set in as cars rushed by—until he reached back and held on. What seemed restrictive was actually protection. God’s guidance can feel like that—limiting, yet life-preserving.
In Leviticus 18:5, God declares that those who obey His commands will find life through them. This truth is reflected in Noah, who followed God’s instructions faithfully and was kept safe through the flood, despite how unusual the command seemed.
We often hesitate when God’s way feels uncomfortable or unclear. Yet obedience places us in His care. When we choose His path and not our own understanding, we discover that His direction leads not to harm, but to life, peace, and security.
