JONAH 2:1-10
A young hiker once lost his way in a fog-covered forest. Panic set in as the path vanished and every sound seemed threatening. After hours of wandering, he stopped, exhausted, and cried out for help. Moments later, he heard a faint voice calling his name—it was a rescuer searching for him. Relief flooded his heart as he followed the voice back to safety.
Jonah, too, found himself lost—trapped not in a forest, but inside a great fish. When he cried out to God, the Lord heard him and answered with mercy. Jonah’s story reminds us that no distance or darkness can silence God’s response to a repentant heart.
In our own lives, we may lose our way through fear, guilt, or rebellion. Yet when we pause and call to God, He meets us with compassion, guiding us out of confusion into peace. His mercy still finds those who stop running and start praying.
🙏 May the Lord always call you back when you lose your way from His loving presence. Amen.
