THE LION OF JUDAH

ISAIAH 31:1-5; REVELATION 5:5

The lions at a certain game reserve were once referred to as “looking harmless.” In the sun, they curled up on their backs. They silently drank from a stream. As though they had all the time in the world, they moved slowly across the dry ground. He could only see their teeth when they yawned.

They may seem at ease, but it still does not give the entire picture. They are the top of the food chain, therefore they have nothing to fear, which explains why they can be so relaxed. The lions appear bored and sluggish, but they are the strongest and most vicious of all. All other creatures flee for their lives in response to a single roar.

God occasionally appears to be doing nothing. When we do not see Him at work, we assume He is not working. Perhaps we question why God does not speak up when we hear people insult Him or say that He is not even real. However, God does not need to worry or fear. He could roar and the entire world would tremble!

God has everything under control, which explains why He is not bothered even though we are. He is aware that Jesus, the Lion of Judah, will soon triumphantly come to us.

We should not be afraid since God is in control.

And gives us the victory again and again πŸŽΆπŸŽ΅
