THE KNOTTED ROPE

MATTHEW 6:27

I once watched a sailor calmly untangle a rope others had yanked into knots. Worry works the same way. The harder we pull, the tighter it grips. Like that rope, our fears need patience, not panic, and hands steadied by trust rather than haste.

Jesus asks in Matthew 6:27 whether worry adds a single moment to life. Scripture answers clearly: it does not. Philippians 4:6–7 invites us to replace anxious striving with prayer, gratitude, and God’s guarding peace.

Worries about work, health, or the future can choke our joy. God calls us to place them in His hands. Peace grows when trust replaces control.

🙏 May the Lord teach you to trust Him and rest in His peace. Amen.
