1 CORINTHIANS 15:50-58
Everything in this world comes to an end, which can be discouraging at times. It is the sensation you get after you finish a book that you do not want to end. Or when you are watching a movie and hope it will last a little longer.
But, pleasant or awful, everything eventually comes to an end. Life does, in fact, come to an end – sometimes sooner than we expect. Those of us who have stood by a loved one’s casket have felt the aching emptiness of a heart that wishes it was not over yet.
Thankfully, Jesus enters the arena of terminal disappointments and injects hope for us through His death and resurrection. In Him “the end” is just the beginning of an existence without death.
So do not worry. Our grief is genuine, but we can be thankful for the great victory that God has given us through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The end is only the beginning in Christ.
🙏🏼Lord, keep our eyes and hearts fixed on the victorious truths of eternity, not on the fleeting joys and disappointments of this present life.
