THE CHOICE

DEUTERONOMY 30:19-20

Sometimes we sacrifice our time, money, and attention acquiring material things that bring no lasting pleasure or any eternal benefit. At the end, we were left with the regret of the choices we have made.

Regret has many faces. Among them are sorrow, pain, heartache, torment, suffering – just to mention a few.

As the children of Israel prepared to cross over into the promised land, the Lord gave them a choice that carried with it the possibility of great blessings or great regrets. He set before them life and death, blessing and cursing. He entreated them to choose life, that both they and their descendants might live; that they might love Him, obey His voice, cling to Him, for He was their life and the length of their days.

What choices are before us today? Remember, to choose life and blessings is to choose the Lord and His ways.
