MICAH 4:1–5
The UN petitioned leaders to collaborate in receiving refugees many years ago, aiming to ensure every child receives an education, every adult finds meaningful work, and every family has a home, as the current global refugee crisis keeps going up.
The dream of creating homes for refugees in crisis echoes a promise made by God to Judah when Assyrian armies threatened their homes. While foretelling the destruction of their temple and Jerusalem, the prophet Micah nevertheless offered hope for a glorious future.
Micah predicted a day when God would call people to Himself, ending violence and turning weapons of war into farming tools. Those who answered would find a peaceful home and a productive life.
Many people today dream of a safe home, but we can rely on God’s ancient promise of a home for people of all nations while we wait, work, and pray for these peaceful homes to become a reality.
🙏God, thank You for the promise of a home, bring peace to our world, and provide for all of Your children’s needs.
