1 JOHN 5:10-15
I enjoy watching professional wrestling and I follow all WWE events. As I watch, I am constantly tensed. That is one of the things that makes wrestling so entertaining. However, I recently watched a fight that had been recorded. I was really aback by how much more relaxed I felt. Why? Because I knew what was about to happen, I was able to settle and enjoy the action.
Observing live sporting events is a common occurrence in life. Because we do not really know what will happen, there are a lot of surprises, frustrations, and concerns. Christians, on the other hand, can take solace in the fact that, while many aspects of life are uncertain, our ultimate fate has been determined by Jesus Christ’s work on the cross.
Life may throw us some curveballs along the way, but because of Christ’s work, we can find peace. He has already decided what will happen to us in the end.
Peace rules our day when Christ rules our hearts.
