REFLECTING THE GLORY OF GOD

EXODUS 31:1-11; PSALM 19:1

Because of his skill with precise line sketches on silk, the Chinese artist Li Tang from the 12th century is regarded as a master of Chinese landscape art. Artists from all over the world have captured what they see in God’s gallery of creation for thousands of years (Psalm 19:1). According to the Bible, the fact that humans were created in the likeness of the Supreme Creator is what gives us our creative abilities (Genesis 1:27).

God appointed artists to make the altars, vestments, and fittings for the tabernacle where the ancient Jews were to worship Him (Exodus 31:1–11). The priests and the people were inspired and directed in their worship of the Lord, who had invited them to be His people, by these artistic representations of spiritual reality.

We reflect the beauty of creation and praise the Creator and Redeemer of our wonderful world through a variety of artistic expressions.

🎶 All things bright and beautiful,

all creatures great and small,

all things wise and wonderful,

the Lord God made them all
