ONE LIFE TO SAVE

.

MARK 12:28-34

Before the outbreak of the Second World War, British stockbroker Nicholas Winton chose to forgo a planned skiing holiday. Appalled by the looming Nazi threat in Prague, he chose to love completely unknown, vulnerable children as himself. He successfully organised trains to rescue 669 mostly Jewish children, bringing them safely to British foster families.

In Mark 12:28-34, Jesus clarifies that the greatest commandments are to love God completely and love your neighbour as yourself. True love is an active choice that goes far beyond ritual sacrifices or religious duties.

As believers, our salvation must show through unconditional love. Like Winton, we are called to look beyond our comfort zones and actively protect, serve, and cherish the people around us.

🙏May God’s perfect love guide your heart and relationships always.
