Many people believe that joining a church, being baptized, or going through some sacramental rites in a church guarantees them heaven. That is not true. Heaven is not for church goers!
The Bible says that unless we are born again (as we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour) we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. It takes more than being a church member to get into heaven. If we are born again, we are part of the body of Christ and are members of the universal church.
As we go to church, we must realise that merely putting our names on a church roll does not bring us salvation.
