PSALM 13
Waiting is difficult at any time, but it may be especially challenging when days, weeks, or even months go by without any sign of God answering our prayers.
As he waited, the psalmist got weary (Psalm 13:1). It is easy to become disheartened when we are waiting for God to intervene in a trying circumstance or to hear our persistent petitions.
Satan maligns us by claiming that God has abandoned us and that nothing will ever change. We can feel tempted to succumb to hopelessness.
The psalmist offered a solution. He reached a decision to praise God, who he knew would never forget him, and concentrated on everything he knew about God’s love. He also reminded himself of previous blessings. So can we.
God is worth waiting for, and His timing is always the best.
