PSALM 146:1-10
The Surgical Technology International journal claims that looking down at a smart phone with a bent head can cause a 60-pound weight on the neck. With millions of people spending 2-4 hours daily reading and texting, the damage to the neck and spine is a growing health concern.
The psalmist acknowledges the weight of life’s burdens and the challenges we face, but also sees hope in the Maker of heaven, earth, and everything. He upholds the cause of the oppressed, provides food to the hungry, sets prisoners free, gives sight to the blind and lifts up those who are bowed down. This faithfulness and love for God provide hope and comfort in the face of life’s challenges.
Consider God’s care, power, and loving heart to praise Him. Walk through each day knowing that the Lord reigns forever for all generations (v. 10).
When we are bowed down, He raises us. Praise be to the Lord!
