LESSONS FOR CHILDREN

PROVERBS 22:1-16

Dan instantly thought about how he might help his daughter as she described a problem she was having at the school cafeteria. But then another idea sprang to mind. Perhaps the issue was a way for God to reveal Himself to her and help her grow to know Him better. He made the choice to pray with her instead of rushing to her aid. Without his assistance, the issue was resolved.

God loves and responds to prayers of young children, and raising them on the right path is essential according to the Bible (Proverbs 22:6).

Think about the best ways to encourage a child’s faith. Tell a tale about how God has aided you, point out God’s design in nature, or ask a young child to join you in giving thanks to God when things go well. God can use you to spread the good news of His goodness throughout every generation.

🙏🏻 Lord, help me to find ways to inspire young people to put their faith in You.
