ICE FLOWERS

1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-14

Wilson Bentley, a 15-year-old, was fascinated by the intricate beauty of snowflakes. He used an old microscope to draw sketches of their designs, but they melted too quickly. In 1885, he attached a bellows camera to the microscope and took his first snowflake picture. He captured 5,000 unique snowflake images throughout his lifetime and each one was a unique design. He described them as “tiny miracles of beauty” and “ice flowers.”

No two snowflakes are alike, but they all come from the same source. In Christ’s plan, God has chosen to bring a variety of people together into a unified whole, and He has gifted them in various ways through the same Spirit. This highlights the unity and diversity of God’s plan.

As we assist and serve others, let us thank God for the special contributions we are able to make.

🙏 Dear Lord, help us to use our gifts faithfully to serve You and others.
