1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18
One of the standout benefits of smartphones is that we can text or communicate to each other at any time. However, being able to send messages or go online might not be the best. Even when we should be concentrating on something else, such as crossing the street, driving, or listening to what people are saying, we use our phones. Being distracted by our phones can cause us to miss out on critical information. Worse yet, we may get hurt or die.
While it may be important to limit how much time we spend on our phones, there is one type of communication that is important and unrestricted: prayer. Whether we are arriving, traveling, or sitting still, God wants us to call on Him. Paul instructs us to pray constantly in the New Testament (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
God is always available for a short weeping or a long conversation. He desires for us to trust Him every day, sharing our joys and sorrows, needs, questions, and difficulties with Him (Hebrews 4:15-16).
We are always within the prayer zone and God is always accessible.
🙏🏼Lord help us develop a lifestyle of prayer as we journey through each day.
