GENESIS 6:1–7
In September 2015, the Volkswagen emissions scandal revealed that Volkswagen had secretly programmed cars to cheat emissions tests while releasing illegal pollution levels. Their hidden deceit was eventually uncovered. Genesis 6:1–7 also describes a world filled with sin that deeply grieved God.
The Bible text explains that human wickedness increased continually, and every thought of man became evil. God decided to judge the earth through the flood, though Noah found favour because he lived righteously.
Believers must remember that no sin is hidden before God. We should reject compromise, live honestly, and pursue righteousness daily, even in a corrupt society.
