REVELATION 2:12-13
After 69 days (August 5 – October 13, 2010) of being trapped in the depths of the San José copper mine in Chile, 33 miners came one after another from the depths into the cuddle of a cheering world. I can imagine how they must have felt when they received a message from above that the rescue team knew exactly where they were and the process to get them out had already started!
There are times in all of our lives when we feel stuck in a really bad place. Frightened and alone, we despair because we have no options and no one seems to understand where we really are in life. But at such times we must remember God’s comforting words to the early Christians who were trapped in a world where Satan ruled all around them. God said, and sincerely, that He knew where they were living (Revelation 2:13). Their plight had not escaped the Heavenly Father’s attention. And because they were loyal to Him, He would support them until He rescued them or otherwise.
The fact that God knows where we are and is very much aware of the difficult situation we find ourselves in gives us the confidence and the strength to live for His glory. So go ahead. Think about the comforting words of God. Help is coming!
🙏 Lord, You know the struggles that we face. Give us the confidence to trust You because of Your goodness and to walk by faith. Amen.
