HEBREWS 4:9-16
During the second World War, the British Isles provided the last line of resistance to Nazi oppression in Europe. However, under the relentless attack and threat of collapse, Britain did not have the resources to win the battle. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill appeared on BBC radio and urged the world to help them with the tools needed to win the war. He knew that without help, they could not resist the attacks to which they were exposed.
Life is like that. Often times we are unable to cope with the problems that life brings and we need outside help. As members of the body of Christ, this help can sometimes come from our Christian brothers and sisters. Also, we can seek help from our Heavenly Father. The good and great news is that our God has invited us to turn to Him with confidence for help.
The constant pressures of life and society make it so easy to forget that we need God in our lives. We are caught trying to juggle ourselves and failing to depend on Him.
All we have to do is pray and He will listen to us when we do.
