MATTHEW 13:13–15
At a busy station, many hear the announcement, yet only a few board the train. Hearing alone is not enough; response matters. In faith, we can recognise God’s voice and still choose comfort over obedience.
In Matthew 13, Jesus explains why He taught in parables: many heard His words but refused to understand. Their hearts were hardened, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy. They listened with their ears, but not with willing hearts (Matthew 13:13–15).
Today, God still speaks through Scripture and conviction. We often hear Him yet delay obedience. True listening leads to change, healing, and peace. May we open our hearts and respond when God calls.
