2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5,10-17
Experts make predictions about a variety of subjects, including the economy, politics, and weather, at the start or conclusion of the year. War or peace: which will it be? Wealth or deprivation? Stagnation or advancement? Many want to believe that the upcoming year will be better than this one, but no one can predict what will happen.
Someone once said that the answer to the question of whether the world would get better or worse is “Yes, to both!”
Whatever happens, the inspired Word of God guides, corrects, and uplifts us as we walk in God’s will (vv. 16โ17). The Scriptures are our “comprehensive equipment,” according to J. B. Phillips, and they fully equip us for every facet of God’s work.
The more spiritual darkness there is in the world, the more the light of Christ shines through everyone who knows and loves Him. Jesus is the source of our joy and hope for all time!
๐The problems in this world can make us look away from You, Heavenly Father. We are grateful for Your Word, which keeps us on track. In the name of Jesus, may we discover our joy in Your love and express it to others. Amen.
