GENTLY CORRECT

COLOSSIANS 3:12-17

One member of our group revealed after the conference that she had left something behind at the venue. Our group leader, who is usually meticulous in his focus on issues, strongly criticised her after she departed to get it.

The leader was shocked to learn that he had also left his passport at the guesthouse when we were on our way to the airport the following morning. Going for it would now cost us even more money.

We should be patient with one another and forgive one another when things go wrong because we all have flaws and inadequacies (Colossians 3:13). We must practice constructive criticism and surround ourselves with the virtues of patience, kindness, compassion, and humility.

When correction is required, it should be carried out in a loving and gentle manner. By doing so, we emulate our Lord Jesus Christ.

🙏🏻Lord Jesus, help us to be patient, humble and gentle.
