FINDING THE LOST

LUKE 15:4-10

Recently I could not find the key to my house, I started to search desperately for it because losing the key is no small matter. It would not have been possible to enter the house without breaking the lock and it was dangerous as the doors were partly made of glass. What a relief when my wife found it on the floor.

In Luke 15:8-10, Christ told the story of something that had been lost: a precious coin which may be equivalent to a daily wage. The woman who had lost the coin was so busy finding it that she lit a lamp, swept the house, and searched carefully until she found it. Then she told her friends to rejoice with her. The point of the story is that in the presence of the angels of God there is joy over a repentant sinner.

People are of great value to God. Those who do not know Him are lost in their sins. Christ paid the highest price by dying on the cross for their salvation. Do you know any lost persons? Ask the Lord to give you the opportunity to share the good news with them so that they can repent of their sins and be found by our merciful God.

🙏 Lord, help us to seek the lost.
