ECCLESIASTES 9:4–12
John always wanted to join the school choir or take a piano lesson during holidays. But house chores, exams, and errands always seemed more urgent.
Ecclesiastes 9:4–12 reminded us that life is brief—every moment is a gift, not to be postponed.
Solomon urges us to enjoy God’s everyday blessings: a cup of tea in the staff room, clean uniforms or office wear, shared jokes in the hallway, and the warmth of friendship (vv. 7–9).
He also calls us to work with dedication (v. 10). Whether it is preparing lessons, typing reports, or cleaning classrooms, we are to do it with all our strength.
Life is not just about surviving the week—it is about honouring God by embracing both joyful moments and faithful service.
🙏 May you live life to its fullness and glorify God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
