John 11:1-35
December marks David’s birthday. He grew up knowing that if he did not get a desired toy for his birthday on the twentieth, it might be in his Christmas stocking. Denial was not always the result of delay.
When Lazarus got very ill, Martha and Mary sent for Jesus, as was only proper. However, Jesus delayed. Four days had passed after the funeral service ended when He finally entered the city.
Jesus performed the far greater miracle of raising his dead friend rather than just healing him of his illness.
Waiting for God’s timing could result in a greater miracle for us than we had expected.
There is never a waste of time when we are waiting for the Lord.
🙏Lord Jesus, in Your own time and way, we know You will give us what is best.
